Florence was an angel that I had the pleasure of having as a sister-in-law. I find myself thinking of her often and still in disbelief that she is no longer with us. I am truly grateful to God that my daughter was able to experience her Aunt Florence's love. I look forward to the day when I will see Florence's smile again and feel her embrace.

To all of the Alexander Family,
I just heard about Florence's passing. I had the pleasure of working with her at Time Life. She always made me laugh, smile, and my day brighter! I hope you all know just how much she valued family and loved all of you. I never met any of you, but I feel I know some of you because she talked so wonderfully about each and everyone of you! Please take care and my deepest condolences

I had the pleasure of working with Florence at Time LIfe. When we were feeling sad as we closed the building, she always could make you laugh. She was always helpful, always friendly, always had a smile and a laugh to share, and she will always be remembered.

Calvin Sorrell and the Alexander Family:
Jessica and I consider it a blessing to have spent time with Florence on a cruise. She was the perfect shipmate. I remember how she was always concerned about her brother Calvin, and made sure that she was there if he needed her help. She will be missed, but we know that she left a special gift of memories with each of you. May God comfort and keep you in his loving arms as you mourn Florence's passing from earth to glory.

We are happy to have met Mrs. Alexander, Mr. Alexander and Aaron during the 1998-2000 football seasons at Henrico High School. We fondly remember a kind, thoughtful, dedicated, concern, professional lady. But even more than the previous named attributes, Florence had a strong inner spirit that pleasantly illuminated her whole being. She was an encourager to the football players with education in the forefront. She was committed to the football boosters’ organization. We extend our deepest sympathy to Florence’s family. May there be comfort in knowing that the Lord has prepared a place for each of us in His Kingdom and that He will in His time take us home to be with Him. The Lord is your Shepherd and He will comfort you.

To the family of the late Florence Alexander; May God continue to bless you. I worked with Florence at Time Life. I will always remember her for her compassion for people. She would always send words of encouragement to my niece, whom she never met, that had lupus. I know that Florence is now resting peacefully with the Lord.

To The Family
Florence left a special part of her to all of us, either it was her smile, a word of encouragement, her wisdom, her motivation, and so much more.
I will miss Florence, but I know that when I think about her, I will always see that smile on her face.
I heard a Minister say that when you walk, people should see Christ in you, when Florence walked and talked you could see Christ in her, she was a Phenomenal Christian Woman, and I’m thankful that our path crossed.
Pray and keep your faith in the Lord and he will give you the strength that you will need to get through these difficult days. Always remember something Florence may had said or did at the dinner table, at the family reunions, at a birthday parties or just having a conversation with you, that had you laughing, because this will help get you through. I pray that the comfort of those things give you the peace that you need.
My prayers are with you. May God bless and comfort you.

To the Alexander Family,
This is a tough one, Florence was our buddy, our friend, our sister. Florence loved her family, her church, her friends, but most of all her lord and savior Jesus Christ. I had the honor of working with her at the Henrico High School Football Boosters. She was and is a woman of integrity. Florence my sister is a Proverb 31 women of God. The only thing I can truly say is that God love her more than we do and he called her home. May the lord bless and keep the Alexander family our prayers go forth.
Love,

I learned of Florence's passing today. She and I attended Richmond County High School and graduated together in 1970. She was not only a beautiful person, physically, she had a beautiful Spirit! She was one of the few people, I truly counted as a friend! Because of her strong faith, I can rejoice, knowing that being absent from the body, Florence is present with the Lord! Mourn if you must but rejoice also. Your mother, sister and friend is at peace. Let God's Spirit comfort you also.

Florence was one of the kindest and most patient individuals I have had the privilege of knowing. She was generous to all and would jump to help without needing to be asked. We are blessed that she touched our lives, if for just a brief moment. But we will see her again, and I am sure she is already helping to make a place for us. God bless the Alexander family. May He comfort them during this time and let them know that Florence is now home, safe and sound.

Alexander Family--
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. Florence was a wonderful and giving person with a heart of gold!
When I lost my mother in January, she offered comfort with these words: " This is one of the most difficult things in life to deal with but through it all lean and depend on God. Ask God to give you strength and peace to go throught this. There will be difficult days ahead but we can endure with God's help." I pray that you find comfort in her words as I did.

To The Family: My thoughts and prayers are with you. It was such a shock in hearing of Florence's death. We both hugged & kissed each other at the church banquet. She was telling me of her recent illness and thanking me for checking on her. My last words to Flo were to wrap up good, be carefull and take care of yourself. She said I was like a big sister to her.
While I was in my Deacon training, she became more than a mentor to me. She was a true and faithful servant for the Lord. Flo was always willing to help others, she will be truly missed by many.
I say to the Family that during this difficult time let God's deep love and understanding help you in your grief. For He is there to ease the pain and bring your sorrowing heart relief.
May God Bless You All.

It was a week or so ago I surprised Flo in her office by sneaking up on her and wrapping my arms around her and she screamed out in delight! As chatty women we were able to catch up on this and that…what a great time we had that morning! I will forever be comforted by this memory and the many other memories I shared with my co-worker. We are all trying to understand why, but alas, our Farther does not make mistakes. Her work was done here. She will be missed by all of her friends at the Department of Public Utilities. My deepest sympathy to her family at this very difficult time.

To the family:
I just saw Florence last week at the banquet. She was sick then and I could'nt understand why she came out in such bad weather. She told me she had been fighting a bronchial infection for three weeks. But, knowing Mrs. Alexander and how much she love her family and church family. She would not have missed that banquet and would'nt have rather been any place esle. It took me back and I worried a little and I said to myself well she here now and she's happy. Our prayers and sympathy goes out to the family. When I heard it, I was completely shock and sadden. She was a wonderful, wonderful, christian lady and was always very nice too me and Allen. If the Garnett family can be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to give us a call. She will be deeply missed in our congregation at Good Shepherd Baptist Church family. God only knows how much. We will keep you all in our prayers and hope that you all do the same for us. Allen & Arlene Garnett, Thelma Marion. 804-212-5070.
