Roy Price Obituary

PRICE, Roy Albert Sr., 90, a lifelong resident of Henrico County died Friday, October 31, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Juanita Tucker Price; and three children, Roy A. Price Jr. (Linda), John E. Neagle (Elizabeth) and Barbara P. Hayek (Jack). Additionally, he is survived by his seven grandchildren, Renee Salmon, Richard Price, Paul Neagle, Jennifer and Christine Hayek, Chandra Haegele and Philip Boyle; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Price was known throughout Henrico County for his daffodils. He drove a school bus for Henrico County and was an avid Civil War relic hunter and history buff. Mr. Price retired from the VCU Police Department in 1982 after more than 20 years of service. His family will receive friends Tuesday, November 4, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Bon Secours Hospice Program, 8580 Magellan Way, Richmond, Va. 23227.

Dear Family,

Manley and I share in your loss but it is difficult to put into words the deep feelings we hold in our hearts.

Many wonderful memories of Roy and Nita have a special place in our memory bank. We know you have many wonderful memories too and we feel certain you will draw on them in the days, months and years to come.

Each of you have been faithful in caring for Roy and Nita and we know this will continue as you provide for Nita and see that her needs are met. Please know we will make ourselves available to help in any way we can be used.

It is our prayer that God will comfort you in your time of bereavement and He will fill your hearts with a peace that only He can give.
