Cristoforo Vitale Obituary

VITALE, Cristoforo, 73, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2008 in Richmond, Va. He was born in Carini, Sicily and attended St. Therese Catholic Church. He was retired and had operated restaurants in the Lynchburg, Virginia area. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Antonina Vitale; his parents, Nicola and Antonina Amato Vitale; and a brother, Francesco Vitale. He is survived by his daughter, Antonina Vitale and her husband, Paul Schroder; his son, Maurizio Vitale and his wife, Tina, all of Gloucester; his sister, Maria Loduca of Cinisi, Sicily; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Anna, and Landon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will held on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. in St. Therese Catholic Church by Father James Cowles. Burial will be in Bellamy Memorial Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to a trust fund for his grandchildren, c/o of BB&T Bank in Gloucester Point, Va. Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Va., is in charge of arrangements.

Toni, My prayers are with you and your family. Wish I could have been there just to give you a hug. Our phone conversation was so nice the other day, I know your parents are now together and looking down on you guys. Your souls will always have that connection until you meet again. Im glad me and my son got to spend some time with your Dad this past 4th of July, I know he got a kick out of my son, even if he didnt say it. He made us feel comfortable in your home and I can now cherish that time. "Hope" to see you soon.

Mario I am so sorry for your loss, I thought a lot of you dad and there were a lot of things I would have loved to shared with him. He will be miss so much by so many people he was such a special person. Stay strong for the family here on earth during these so questionable times and remember he is with your mom now and they are holding hands watching over you and the Vitale family from heaven.
