Joan Cesario Obituary

Published by Nelsen Funeral Home - Williamsburg on Nov. 7, 2008.
CESARIO, Joan Ann, 69, of Woodbridge, passed away Friday, October 31, 2008, in her home after a long battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband, Joseph, with whom she shared over 50 years. She was the beloved mother of son, Craig (Theresa); daughters, Karen (John), Tracey (Jim) and Meghan (John); grandmother of Ashley, Adam, Annie, Tessa, Ethan, Finnegan and Maggie; sister of Helen, Carolyn and Bernard. Joan enjoyed painting, writing poems, reading mysteries and cooking. She fought her cancer valiantly and courageously. The family will receive friends at Nelsen Funeral Home in Williamsburg this Sunday, November 9, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be offered at noon Monday, November 10, at St. Bede's Catholic Church on Richmond Road, with the graveside service to follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Susan G. Komen Foundation. She will stay forever in our hearts. Nelsen Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be registered at www.nelsencares.com.
