HADEN, Timothy "Tim" Wash, 84, of Elkton died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the UVA Hospital. Mr. Haden was born June 18, 1924 in Goochland County and was the son of the late Samuel D. and Mary Wash Haden. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Sam D. Haden, Doris Lodge and Bernice Carr. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of WWII and later graduated from the University of Richmond. Tim, and his wife, Sally, owned and operated Haden's Furniture in Elkton from 1955 to 1980. On October 9, 1948, he married his wife of 60 years, Sally M. Martin of Fluvanna County, who survives. He is also survived by four children, Tim Haden Jr., Haymarket, Charles Haden, Hampton, David Haden, Virginia Beach, Jeanne H. Ford, Elkton; sisters, Flora Riddick and Jane Waits, both of Richmond; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2008 at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton. Burial will follow in the Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elkton Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 152, Elkton, Virginia 22827. I was very sadden to hear of Uncle Tim's death. He was such a nice man the short time I have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.
