Norma Meredith Obituary

MEREDITH, Norma R., age 76, of Chester, Va., formerly of St. Albans, W.Va., passed away on November 5, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy L. Meredith. She is survived by her three children, Denise Wynett and her husband, Craig, of New Richmond, Ohio, Marie Chamberlin and her husband, Joe, of Snellville, Ga., and Tim Meredith and his wife, Susan, of Chester, Va. Also surviving is her brother, Arlen (Bud) Roberts of Scott Depot, W.Va.; and six grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Abney Street Church of God, 617 Abney Street, St. Albans, W.Va. 25177. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, W.Va. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to either the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601-7633, or Bon Secours Hospice, 8580 Magellan Parkway, Richmond, Va. 23227. As a chaplain intern at Ironbridge this past summer, I was blessed to know Norma. Each day when I arrived, Norma was always smiling and interested in seeing me. She was a lovely, gentle woman who brightened my day with her smile. She will be missed.
