They are an inspirational testimony to true love. They give hope to us all. It is only fitting that they should still be together as closely linked as they seemed to be. I know you will miss them deeply.
Much respect,

You are an example of the love that your parents gave to you.
I will always be grateful for the kindness they gave to our family as our next door neighbors. They never PREACHED their faith They LIVED it daily.
We were so blessed to have had them in our life. I am very grateful to God for His gift to us of having Virginia and Floyd in our life.

I just thought the movies "The Notebook" & "Titanic" were the greatest love stories ever, but I am so glad to have read the article about this couple. They left a legacy for all to follow. Love is a wonderful thing to share with another. Sorry about your loss, but your memories will bring you comfort and God will sustain you. What a wonderful legacy and a most precious story to leave behind!
Unfortunately I did not know either one of these wonderful people. I happened upon their story and wanted to share my condolences with the family of such an inspirational couple.
Theirs is truly a love story that needs to be told over and over again. Most of us will never experience what the Schooles' had - not during this day and time.
They seemed to have known the true meaning of love.
Oh to be as fortunate to leave as they did - together.
May God bless you as you mourn and remember two lives well-lived.

To the entire family:
Floyd and Virginia were my parents dearest friends and I remember them visiting my house as I was growing up, and even at a young age I knew that they were very special. They sat at the table and laughed and had fun times playing Rook together. The Shcooles were the most lovely and warm people I have ever met in my life and I feel blessed to have known them. They were the epitome of what loving Christian people should be. Their's was a love so deep and eternal that I always knew in my heart that they would pass away together. Heaven is blessed to have them, and I will never forget them.

Betty,
My deepest sympathy goes out to you and all of your family. The "Love Story" in the newspaper could not have been told more eloquently as you, my sister and I saw this all thru our lives. Your parents were a great inspiration to all they knew and may GOD bless them in their new heavenly home with HIM. May they keep us inspired here on earth with their "Love Story" until our time is done. With loving memories,

I was blessed to know this wonderful couple , from the time I was a baby .
Virginia was always so pretty , and a very gracious lady .
Floyd was one of my father's ushers at Hatcher for many years , and he continued for many more years after my father's death .
When Virginia could no longer make it to church , Floyd still came and handed out the program for the church service on Sunday morning .
They were an inspiration to all married couples of any age . They both touched so many lives . They will always be with me in my fond memories of Hatcher Church .
With great sympathy to the family , and many fond memories .

I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. and Mrs. Schooles, however, I was truly touched by the strength of their love when I read about their 75th anniversary last year. What a blessing it must have been to have such a wonderful patriarch and matriarch in your family. I know that Mr. and Mrs. Schooles are rejoicing in heaven with their mothers and with each other. They are together in death as they were in life. God bless you all and thank you for sharing their story with those that were not blessed by their presence.
