NEAL, Alyene Green,74, of Victoria, Va., died November 9, 2008. She is survived by her husband, Chasteen Shirley Neal Jr.; two sons, Ronnie Green (Donna), and Donald Green (Cindy), all of Victoria; her daughter, Audrey Joyner (Ray), of Kenbridge; three stepchildren, Sylvia Duvall of Victoria, Curtis Neal (Irene), of Dundas, and C.S. Neal III "Butch" (Shirley), of Meherrin; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; her brother, Early Conner of Victoria; four sisters, Mattie Byrd of Chase City, Christine Hardaway of Blackstone, Hazel Williams of Williamsburg, and Annie Reese of Colonial Heights. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Joseph Green; and brothers, Ervin Conner and Howard Conner. The family will receive friends Monday, November 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home, Victoria. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the Tussekiah Baptist Church, Meherrin, with interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tussekiah Baptist Church, 3514 Crymes Road, Meherrin, Va. 23954.
