Maynard Crawley Obituary

CRAWLEY, Maynard O. Sr., departed this life on Veterans Day, November 11, 2008. He was predeceased by his wife, Velma V. Crawley; and brother, Waverly Robert Crawley Jr. He is survived by four sons, Maynard Jr. (Pearl), Lamont, Aldric (IbeBulinda), Terence Crawley (Lanel); one daughter, Alison R. Wilson (Dannie Sr.); seven grandchildren; one brother, Leon Crawley (Jane); two sisters, Audrey Anderson (Ezra) and Helen Hawkins; two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law; devoted companion, Stephanie Watts; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave., where the family will receive friends Thursday (tonight), 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, 1 p.m., at Moore Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1408 W. Leigh St. Dr. Alonza L. Lawrence officiating. Interment Riverview. Mr. Crawley was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran with over 26 years of service to his country. He also served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Remains will rest in church one hour prior to service.

I am so very sorry for your Loss. I knew Maynard through Stephanie Watts a friend and co-worker. He was a wonderful person , and I last saw him at my 49 Birthday party in July of this year. He was full of laughter . My prayers are with you Stephanie and The Crawley Family. God Bless You All.
