ADKINS, Hazel Rosette, 84, of Providence Forge, departed this life November 12, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, P.A. Adkins; and her daughters, Janice and Janet Adkins and Shelia Jones. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Gerald Jr. and Richie Adkins. She is survived by two sons, Gerald (Laura) and Charles (Gail); three daughters, Diane, Helen (Hubert), Marcia (Charles); 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild; three sisters- in-law, Maggie Jones, Mae Cannada, Elizabeth Austin; three brothers in-law, Joe, Frankie and Robert Adkins. Rosette leaves behind a host of devoted relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4560 Laburnum Ave. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2008 at Samaria Baptist Church. Interment to follow in church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 96280, Washington, D.C. 20090.
