Janice Wilmoth Obituary

Published by Richmond Times-Dispatch on Nov. 13, 2008.
WILMOTH, Janice Baughan, of Lakeside, died on November 9, 2008, after a short illness. She was surrounded by many loved ones as she was reunited with her parents, Edgar and Winifred Baughan, and brother, David Baughan, who preceded her in death. Janice is survived by a large and loving family including her husband, Steven Wilmoth; daughters, Linda Ross, Judith Snead, and Sharon Ashworth; sons, Lenny Snead and Steve Simons; grandchildren, Amy Peele, Denny Allen, Scott Elliott, Matthew Ashworth, Luke Snead, Brooks Snead, and Hunter Simons; brothers, Cayce Baughan and Kenneth Baughan; great-grandchildren, Skylar and Brody Peele and Crystal Allen; and a host of beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Janice was happiest when decorating and cooking for her large family to celebrate birthdays and holidays with them. Her generosity touched many lives. After retiring from Coleman Brothers, she volunteered regularly at Lakeside Presbyterian Church. Her children and husband would like to thank the many dear neighbors, family, and other friends who were part of her life and who share in our grief. There will be a memorial service at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 7343 Hermitage Road, Richmond, on Saturday, November 22 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Lakeside Presbyterian Church.

I have known Janice since I was a little girl. She was my cheerleading coach when I cheered for Lakesde Little League. She was a great mentor in my life who made me feel like I was really loved and that I was the best cheerleader ever. I feel blessed to have had her as part of my life. She was a beautiful person to me and so many others. I will miss her. God Bless You Janice and God be with the family.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Janice many years ago when I started my first job at Standard Drug Store in Lakeside. I loved working with her; she was always so sweet and friendly to everyone. Now I how have the pleasure of working with her daughter, Linda, and granddaughter, Amy, at HRH and they are just as sweet! I know Janice will be missed by many people but she leaves us with lots of great memories. I hope the love of friends and family will comfort you all during this difficult time.

You were truly special to and with all of the kids in our large family too.
May you rest in peace and remain in our hearts. Love- Bobby, Nancy, Nick and Libby Baughan

To my dear "Aunt Janice" - your love for your family, friends, church and God will always be reflected and never forgotten by those of us left here on earth to grieve for you. You left us too quickly, but your smile, laughter and love will live with us forever. May your sweet soul rest in peace eternally in heaven. I love you!
