Catherine Vest Duffey

DUFFEY, Catherine Vest, 74, died November 15, 2008. She is survived by her husband, Parks Pegram Duffey Jr. of Irvington; her brother, Charles T. Vest and his wife, Andrea, of Charlottesville; her aunt, Catherine T. Sugg of Chatham. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Samuel Alexander Vest Jr. and Elise Thompson Vest of Charlottesville; a brother, Samuel Alexander Vest III; and a sister, Mrs. William Bolling Izard of Roanoke. Survivors also include her children, Frances D. Wickline and her husband, Harold, of Orchard Park, N.Y., Catherine D. Macknight and her husband, Michael, of Richmond, Augusta W. Duffey of Wenham, Mass., Elise D. Wolcott and her husband, Oliver III, of Wenham, Mass., Parks Pegram Duffey III, of Petersburg. Also surviving are her grandchildren, John B. Cates Jr. and Samuel C. Cates of Richmond, Oliver Wolcott IV of Wenham, Mass., Catherine C. Wickline of Orchard Park, N.Y., Mathew A. Wickline and his wife, Taylor, of Marietta, Ga., Monica A. Wickline and Gregory A. Wickline of Charlotte, N.C.; a great-granddaughter, Marin M. Wickline of Marietta, Ga.; and her dog, Fred. A graveside service will be held 12 noon Thursday, November 20, at Monticello Memory Gardens, Charlottesville, with The Rev. Ben R. Duffey officiating.
