Mary Parsons Obituary

PARSONS, Miss Mary G., of Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Heath Parsons and Mary Maury Binford Parsons; her sister, Ellen Parsons Holt; and her brother, Jesse Heath Parsons Jr. Mary was a lifelong resident of Petersburg and currently resided at the Petersburg Home for Ladies. She also was retired from the Engineering Department of the City of Petersburg and was a member of Christ & Grace Episcopal Church. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Sunday, November 30, 2008 from 3 to 5 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2008 at Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Petersburg Home for Ladies Fellowship Fund 311 South Jefferson Street, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 or your favorite charity. My mother, Katharine P. Thomas was a tenant and long time friend of Mary's so my family has known and loved Mary for many years. We are saddened by her passing. May she rest in peace.

Rest in peace Mary. Worked at the Water Dept. when she worked for Engineering Dept. Also; worked with her brother Jesse at the Post Office.
