Elnora Dixon Robinson

ROBINSON, Elnora Dixon, went home to live eternally with the Lord on December 2, 2008. She was born on September 30, 1915, the daughter of the late Isabel and Thomas Dixon in Mulberry Island, now known as Ft. Eustis, Va. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Robinson; and her brothers, Earl, Richard, Williams, Jimmie and Miles Dixon. Her devotion and love will be forever cherished by her children, Rev. Benjamin Robinson, Ruby J. McAlpine and Doris A. Brown; her grandchildren, Jefferson R. McAlpine Jr. and Walter R. Brown (Tisha); her great-grandson, Phoenix R. Brown; her son-in-law, Willie W. Brown; her nieces, nephews, a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends. A funeral service, celebrating her new beginning, will be held 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2008, in Union Baptist Church, Highland Park, with the Rev. Clarence Bolton and Dr. Solomon M. Wesley officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the church by 2:10 p.m. on Sunday. Mrs. Robinson may be viewed only in the church on Sunday, immediately following the Sunday morning worship service, until the hour of her service. Interment will take place 1 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2008, in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the gravesite by 12:45 p.m. on Monday.
