Lucile Gentry Ranson

RANSON, Lucile Gentry, of Richmond, passed away December 8, 2008. She was the widow of Everett W. Ranson, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Ranson Wilkerson and son-in-law, Ben H. Wilkerson; her granddaughter, Emily W. Mears and her husband, Ken Mears; two great-grandchildren, Ranson W. Mears and Benjamin T. Mears; her sister, Anne Anthony; as well as nieces and nephews. She retired from the International Mission Board (formerly Foreign Mission Board). She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
