SMITH, Leander September Jr., 65, of Richmond, Va., departed this life on December 12, 2008. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Smith Turpin, and father, Leander S. Smith Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Louise B. Vaughan and Deborah T. Jefferson; one brother, Howie P. Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at March Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., where the viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 16, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 1200 N. 28th St. Rev. Sylvester Smith officiating. Interment Saint James Cemetery, Varina, Va.
