Ruth C. Pitts

PITTS, Ruth C., 92, of Richmond, died December 10, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse L. Pitts; and her son, Edward L. Pitts. Survivors include her daughter, Edith Gowen; and five grandchildren, notably her devoted Freddy. Other grandchildren include Diane, Jennifer, Donna and Carolyn. She was also survived by five great-grandchildren. She was a friendly, loving and independent woman who will be remembered lovingly by all who knew her. She was a devoted Jehovah's Witness for many years. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2008 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5101 Snead Road, Richmond.
