On behalf of my family, I wish to express my condolences and deepest sympathy to the family of Hick, s over his loss. John 14 1-5
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Fathers house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you . I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
and whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Thomas saith unto him, we know not whither thou goest ;and how can we know the way ?
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Family,
I was so sad to hear this news! You all always treated me as family and I love you for that!! I, too, will miss Pappy dearly! Please be comforted by God's Word:
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thess 4:13-18 (NKJV)

To the family, friends and loved ones of Pappy,
Our deepest condolences are with you in your time of sorrow and we were deeply saddened to hear about the loss of our beloved Pappy. We will cherish the childhood memories and the thoughts of the joyful visits we spent with him when coming to visit his uncle Leon. Dear Mary,
I just wanted to let you know how much I admired the way you and Pappy complemented each other as a team and that in the process, you exemplifed the meaning of family. You raised wonderful, talented children and I was so moved by the beautiful voice God has given Brittany. May you continue to be blessed and know that the precious memories of your beloved will always be with you.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die: a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted: Pappy was a beautiful person who completed the task God had given him. Hicks and Radden family may Gods presence keep you in perfect peace during this difficult time.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

To The Hicks Family,
AFTER THE RAIN
Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,There will always be sunshine after the rain.
Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps you may fall,
But God's ALWAYS ready to answer your call.
He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
A word from His lips can calm every fear.
Your sorrows may linger throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish at dawn's early light.
The Savior is waiting somewhere above'
To give you His grace and send you His love.
Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
GOD ALWAYS sends rainbows after the rain.

Mary:
May peace be granted to you and the children.
Please know that our prayers are with you always! And, that we have been blessed to have been a part of the family that you and Pappy shared.
Remember, it is not how long one lives, but how one lives. It is not how much time we spend together, but how we spend the time we have together.
Pappy embraced life with a passion, lived it well and enjoyed every moment he shared with us all! For that we are grateful.
In our hearts he will always be the big brother and wonderful uncle that we know.
May you always be blessed,
