Pearl Antoinette Perry Battle

BATTLE, Pearl Antoinette Perry, 88, of 800 block Wedgefield Ct., Norfolk, Va. passed away January 10, 2009 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was the widow of Frank A. Battle Sr. and was predeceased by her sons, Frank A. Battle and Cato M. Battle. She is survived by four daughters, Geraldine M. Banks, Amanda B. Murray (Robert), Aretha L.B. Gayle and Lynette B. Richardson (Ralph); and daughter-in-law, Sheila Battle. She was a former member of Westwood Baptist Church, Richmond, Va. The family will receive friends Wednesday at 5101 Regatta Pointe, Suffolk, Va. home of the Rev. Ralph and Lynnette Richardson as well as at 862 Wedgefield Ct., Norfolk, Va., home of Dr. Robert & Amanda Murray. Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 noon, at First Baptist Church, 500 East Bute St., Norfolk, Va. Interment will be Saturday, 12 noon at Westwood Cemetery, Richmond, Va. Fisher Funeral Home, 1520 Effingham St., Portsmouth, Va. is handling the arrangements.
