Alan Wayne Tune

TUNE, Alan Wayne, 62, of of Avon, North Carolina, passed away January 16, 2009. Wayne was born May 4, 1946 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Willard Grant Tune, of Champlain, Va. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Tune of Avon, N.C.; and his two daughters, Susanne Tune Duke and her husband, Pal Shannon Duke, of Atlanta, Ga., and Sarah Tune Price and her husband, Thomas Winston Price, of Richmond, Va. He is also survived by the children of his wife, Maria Lytton and her husband, Jack Lytton, of Venice, Fla., and Giulio Gentile of Colorado Springs, Colo. He is survived by four grandchildren, Audrey Grace and Benjamin Alexander Duke, of Atlanta, Ga., and Theodore Winston and Kathryn Kelly Price, of Richmond, Va. He is also survived by his brother, Willard Marvin Tune and his wife, Shelby Sanders Tune, of Champlain, Va.; as well as his nieces, Michelle Tune Thompson of Mechanicsville, Va., and Melanie Tune VanHuss of Champlain, Va. He is survived by his maternal aunts, Edna Allen Dillard and Dorothy Chinault Allen; as well as numerous cousins, especially Robert Gary Allen, all of Champlain, Va. Wayne was an avid fisherman and enjoyed time with his beloved dogs, the late Bubba and Boomer, as well as Bear. Burial will be private. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, January 23 at 4 p.m. at the Avon fire station, Avon, N.C.
