Augusta Hood Obituary

HOOD, Augusta Seamster, 79, of Lunenburg, Va., died January 18, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Frank Edward Seamster and Gracie Mae Jackson Seamster. She was a retired skiver with Craddock-Terry Shoe Corp., and a faithful member of Northside Gospel Chapel. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Ray Hood; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn A. and Karen S. Hood; two grandsons, Brent A. Hood and Bryan T. Hood, all of Lunenburg, Va.; a sister, Alice Coleman of Prospect; and a brother, Earl E. Seamster of Farmville. The family will receive friends Monday (tonight), 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home, Victoria, and where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 11 a.m. with burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the Northside Gospel Chapel, P.O. Box 380, Victoria, Va. 23974.
