HUDSON, Mrs. Lillian "Judy", of Scottsburg, Virginia died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Halifax Regional Hospital. She was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on January 31, 1943 and was 65 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Harvey William Thacker and Mary Betterton Thacker. Mrs. Hudson was a member of the Pleasant Grove Christian Church. Mrs. Lillian "Judy" Irene Hudson is survived by two sons, Edward Dean Wilborn of Alton, Va., Linwood Hudson and wife, Kristy of Sterling, Va.; two brothers, Harvey William Thacker Jr. of Keeling, Va. and James Edward Thacker of Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren, Katherine Hudson of Sterling, Va. and Claire Hudson of Sterling, Va. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Claudia Lewis, Mary Thacker and Rosalee Brown; and one brother, Franklin R. Thacker. A memorial service for Mrs. Lillian "Judy" Irene Hudson will be held at Powell Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at Powell Funeral Home for one hour prior to the service and at the home of Mike and Kathy Whitt after the service. For memorials, please consider the Halifax County Humane Society, P.O. Box 969, South Boston, Va. 24592 or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are by Powell Funeral Home, 1603 Wilborn Ave., South Boston, Va.
