Bobbie Mimms Obituary

Published by Richmond Times-Dispatch from Jan. 22 to Jan. 23, 2009.
MIMMS, Bobbie W., went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 20, 2009 after a courageous, albeit short battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Doris M. Mimms; three children, Roy W. (Cindy), Donald P. (Cathy) and Melinda M. Campbell (Roy); five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He retired from Henrico County Public Schools' Construction and Maintenance Division after 24 years of faithful service. He didn't give flowers in life and requests that donations be made in his memory to the Lakeside Volunteer Rescue Squad or a charity of your choice. As a naval veteran, he has requested burial at sea by the Department of the Navy. He requested no memorial service for himself but said to celebrate his life in the way you care for others.
