TO ARLENE, TINA AND THE ENTIRE WILLIAMS FAMILY. I WAS SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR FATHER'S PASSING. I MET HIM ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS AND TRUE HE HAD A SMILE THAT WOULD LIGHT UP THE ROOM. FAMILY, I CAN'T SAY I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL, BUT I CAN SAY THAT I HAVE BEEN THERE. THE DAYS AHEAD MAYBE ROUGH, BUT WHEN THOSE DAYS OCCUR PUT YOUR HANDS IN GODS HANDS FOR HE WILL SEEE YOU THROUGH. CHERRISH THE MEMORIES THAT YOU SHARED, FOR WEEPING WILL ENDURE FOR AN EVENING BUT JOY WILL COME IN THE MORNING.

Charita & Tina, my dear cousins. I am truly sadden for the loss of your dad, Uncle Hayward. He was a wonderful person and had a smile that could light up a room. He could keep you laughing. Remember to be absent from the body is to be present with our Lord. Remember your time with him and commit to keep the good times close to your heart. Continue looking towards heaven to give you peace and trust that God is able and He will help you through this difficult time.

To my dad. May God rest your soul. We will miss you dearly and love you very much. I find comfort and peace knowing you are with the Lord at last. Fond memories of you will live in our hearts forever. The Lord has just come to pick another one of his flowers. I am certainly sad you are gone, but I am also certainly glad your suffering is now over. Your work here is done daddy. Love you always!

It was always worth my while to see Hayward on Sundays...only to holler out to him, "HAYWARD LEE"...and he would look at me and say, "Who you hollerin at chile"... Then without missing a beat, he would hand me a peppermint...I would say, "All I get is one?"....He would respond, "Look a here chile how many you want?"... He was so funny...so full of life and always striving to make life pleasant for those around him. I remember very vividly Sunday, December 21st. I walked past him and he asked for Joy. I told him she wouldn't be at church. He proceeded to give me a gift for her and told me to make SURE she got it. I commented to him how good he looked and how he was glowing and how sharp he was. He just grinned and said, "Well thank you". I couldn't help but love him and enjoy his company. He was such a free spirit, he didn't even realize when someone was fussing with him. Condolences to Dorothy, the children and other family members. Know that Hayward's soul is resting easy! Thank you Lord for sharing an angel with us! Much love!
