YATES, Elizabeth "Betty", of Annandale, Va., passed away on Friday, January 30, 2009. She is survived by her husband, Munford R. Yates Jr.; two sons, Munford R. Yates III, M.D. and Thomas D. Yates; a daughter, Anna Y. McDermott; a brother, Frank J. Murphy III. She is also survived by six grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Rd. Fairfax, Va. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the Truro Church, 10520 Main St. Fairfax, Va. 22030 at 10:30 a.m. Burial is private. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Love the World Fellowship, 4155 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, Va. 22030. For obituary and directions visit www.fmfh.com
