Louise Singleton Stacey Cuneo

CUNEO, Mrs. Louise Singleton Stacey, 81, of Birmingham, Ala., passed away January 31, 2009. Mrs. Cuneo, daughter of J.E. and Luverne Singleton of Excel, Ala., was born March 21, 1927 in Burnt Corn, Ala. Mrs. Cuneo had lived in Richmond, Va., for 30 years, and had been a resident of Birmingham for the past 1.5 years. She retired as a manager with Stanley Home Products after 49 years of service. She was a longtime member of the Southside Baptist Church in Richmond, Va. Survivors include her husband, William Cuneo of Richmond; sons, Terry Stacey and wife, Bonnie, of Birmingham, Ala., Dr. Barry C. Stacey and wife, Jane, of Marietta, Ga., Byron Kent Stacey of Birmingham, Ala., and Mark T. Stacey and wife, Lanay, of Birmingham, Ala.; daughter, Lynn Stacey Birkett and Linda Fenton of Atlanta, Ga.; stepchildren, Judy and Dave Corum, Chris and Jackie Cuneo, Preston Cuneo, Richard and Robyn Cuneo; her sister, Mildred Singleton Grossman of Frisco City, Ala.; 23 grandchildren and stepgrandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and stepgreat-great-grandchildren, seven nieces and nephews, 14 great-nieces and nephews, four great-great-nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Cuneo will be Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home, Frisco City, Alabama, with the funeral service at 2 p.m. The burial will be in Union Cemetery, Frisco City, Ala. Rev. Billy Hodges, officiating minister.
