Lucyann Davis Bohannan

BOHANNAN, Lucyann Davis, age 89, of Hopewell, Va., died on Tuesday, February 3, 2009. She was born in Syracuse, N.Y., the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Ethel Steirley Davis. Mrs. Bohannan was a graduate of the Pratt Institute with a degree in Costume Design. In 1941, she married J. Kirby Bohannan. They lived in New York City and in Newport News before settling in Hopewell, in 1967, as co-owners of Office Supply, Inc. Lucyann loved her home and her garden. She was a charter member of the Nathaniel Cawsey Garden Club and for many years volunteered at Weston Manor, both in the garden and as a docent. Mrs. Bohannan was also a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and St. Catherine's Guild and Vestry. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Kirby Bohannan; daughter, Judy Danilovs and her husband, John; son, Jay Bohannan; grandson, Colby Bond and his wife, Betsy; and great-grandson, Ethan Bond.
