Evelyn Scott Winston

WINSTON, Evelyn Scott, 72, of 2823 Richmond Henrico Turnpike, Richmond, Va., formerly of Ashland, Va., went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2009. She was predeceased by her husband, John R. Winston. Cherishing her memory are four loving and devoted children, John C. Winston, Cynthia Mullins, Sylvia Johnson (Raymond), and Crystal Winston; 16 grandchildren, one devoted, DeOndra Winston; 10 great-grandchildren; one grandson-in-law and one granddaughter-in-law; three sisters, Delores Watkins (Wilbur), Beverely Oxidine (Herman) and Laura Howard; five sisters-in-law; two devoted friends, Cammie Pryor and Brenda Spindle; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends. Remains rest at the F.E. Dabney Funeral Home, 600 B. St., Ashland, Va. Homegoing services will be held Monday, February 9, 1 p.m. at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 106 S. James St., Ashland. Rev. Michael Shannon Sr., pastor, officiating. Interment Winston Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends Sunday (tonight) from 7 to 8 p.m. at the church.
