Ms. Mary F. Winston, 74, of Richmond, CA, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

Ms. Mary Florence Winston was born on June 6,1950 in Lanett, AL, to the late Lorenza & Mary Winston.

She received Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Herman Baptist Church in Lanett, AL.

She was a 1967 graduate of Rehobeth High School and a 1971 graduate of Tuskegee Institute. She also received a Bachelors of Science Degree.

Mary was employed with IBM as a systems programmer for thirty years until retirement. She loved to read, loved pictures, crossword puzzles, and putting together 2000 piece puzzles and she also had the gift of gab.

She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Lorenza & Mary Winston; sister, Mildred Stringer; brothers, Charles Winston, Lorenza Winston Jr., Roosevelt Winston and Wilbert Winston.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories to: Her sister, Minnie Kirkpatrick of Gadsden, AL; brother, Jimmy Winston of Oak Park, MI; nieces, Lorre Gray, Pamela (Bobby) Luker, Leslie Kirkpatrick of Gadsden, AL, Quanda Stringer of Phenix City, AL, Francine Moore of Bronx, NY, Anita Winston of Upper Marlboro, MD, Denise Trammell of Conyers, GA, Teisha (Quinton) Sims of Oak Park, MI, Lisa Winston of West Point, GA and Michelle Winston of LaGrange; nephews, Ryan Stringer of Rowlett, TX, Jeffery (Lisa), Tony Winston of Hampton, VA, Kevin Winston of Bowie, MD, Eric Winston of Oak Park, MI, Kerry Winston of Lanett, AL, and Derrick Evans of Lanett, AL. ; Sister-in-law, Marian Winston of Upper Marlboro, MD; special friend/neighbor Jaqueline Kidd of Richmond, CA and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

We ask that you please keep this family in your hearts and prayers during their time of bereavement.

Public viewing will be Friday, May 23,2025 from 12 noon-6pm.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 2:30pm at the Macedonia Baptist Church. Eulogist: Reverend Mario McDaniel.
