Beth, I was so saddened to learn of your mother's passing. She was truly an angel. I will always remember the kindness and love she showed to everyone as we worked together as election officials. Gertrude had the sweetest spirit and always kept us smiling. I thank God for allowing me to know her. God bless you and Randy.

Gertrude's love family extended well past her immediate family. As a member of that family, if you needed, and Gertrude had, she gave...without a thought of what the consequence would be to her. She truly lived "treat others as you would want to be treated." She loved well. She has hit the gates of heaven running, and I, like so many, are richer for sharing part of this life with her. Thanks, my Richmond Mom, enjoy the glory 'til we meet again!
Love,
Dewey

Beth, I'll always remember the purple birthday teddy bear cake. This was the first memory of Gerdy that I had when I first heard. Peaceful prayers and loving thoughts.

Getrude is a model of a fun-loving, people-loving Christian life. She taught by her example, moment by moment, that maintaining a positive attitude about life even in the face of challenge is within your personal capability through a love of God and the people around you.
Let's live by her example.
