Willfred Reames Obituary

REAMES, Willfred T. Jr., of Amelia, Va., passed away Friday, February 6, 2009 at the age of 83. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Jean W. Reames; two sons, W.T. Reames III and wife, Carla, of Amelia, and Ronald W. Reames and wife, Nancy, of Rice; seven grandchildren, Will T. Reames IV and wife, Katie, Andrew H. Reames, Matthew C. Reames, Stephen C. Reames, Amy R. Goshorn and husband, John, Ronald "Wes" Reames Jr. and wife, Rebecca, and Austin D. Reames. Willfred was retired manager of Southern States Cooperative, Burkeville Branch, and has been a lifetime Methodist, serving in many capacities in St. John's United Methodist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Joseph McMillian Funeral Home, 1826 Cox Rd. (Business Hwy. 460), near Blackstone, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2009. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, special contributions may be made to Asera Care Hospice, 8001 Franklin Farms Dr., Suite 206, Richmond, Va. 23229. Registry and condolences at www.mcmillianfuneralhome.com
