Charlotte Cheatham Obituary

CHEATHAM, Charlotte Hawthorne, 86, passed away February 5, 2009 after year-long complications from a fall. She was born on March 7, 1922 in Victoria, Virginia where she was raised. She lived most of her life in Richmond. She is survived by two children, a daughter Peggy Curtis Cheatham; and a son Richard Arthur Cheatham; as well as a brother-in-law, M. Deane Cheatham. Her husband since 1947, C. Curtis Cheatham, had preceded her in 2002. Mrs. Cheatham was a music teacher in public and private schools and taught piano to many students privately. She was a music graduate of Mary Washington College and was a member of the Ginter Park Woman's Club and of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Her remains will be cremated and buried in a private ceremony at Quantico National Cemetery.

Peggy - My sympathy is extended to you and your brother. I have now been away from Richmond longer than I lived there, but my heart remains in Ginter Park. I have wonderfully funny memories of our times together. Please know that I'm thinking of you.
