My father-in-law, Jimmy Pates, and I were real-estate brokers for Betty and the estate for many years stretching back into the '80's. She and I met many times over the years on dirt roads to look at properties. We certainly laughed a lot, particularly when I successfully sold a piece of landlocked property! Whenever we met in Doug Connor's office, we would get there early so we could visit beforehand. Betty's son, Brad, and my daughter, Anne Morgan, are about the same age. Both of us were mature mothers so we were going through child-rearing at the same time. What wonderful memories I have of her and how delighted I am that was she was able to share her life with Clyde. Loads of love and blessings to her family, Susan Pates
