Dearest Peggy,
Words can't express the sadness that I felt upon hearing the news of Bill's passing. I just found out on Sunday evening. Had I known earlier I would have loved to attend the service for him. Bill was one of the kindest men I have ever known. He exuded the love of Christ.

I can't image how much he will be missed by you and your family until you meet again.

My life is richer and I am grateful for having had the opportunity to know Bill. I pray that wonderful, warm memories will comfort you in the days ahead.

Love you,

Rhonda Elliott

Peggy,

I am so sorry to hear of William Lewis passing. He was always so sweet and always had a hug for everyone. When Nanny passed away I know he was there for Mammy and that meant a great deal to her and all of us. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you in this time.

I will always remember the kindness that he always exhibited and the wonderful songs that he shared with the world. He will be missed.

Love,
Rhonda Elliott

I worked with Bill many years ago at MCV. He was one of the kindest, most thoughtful people it has ever been my privilege to work with--always a "calm port in rough seas." My deepest sympathy to those who loved him.

Dear Friend Peggy & Family,
There are no words to describe how much Bill meant to Robert & me. Such a kind, giving person. Always had a hug for us. The days of playing softball with you both on the Shepherd's team are some of the fondest memories of my life. Please know how much we are thinking of you and pray for God's blessing upon you.

Peggy & Family,
I can't tell you the loss we felt when we heard about William. He was one of the kindess, most caring people I have ever met. It was so good to see you both at the class reunion back in July and we are so glad to have that memory because he just seemed to be so happy and content even with what he knew might be ahead. He was a strong, strong person and we all could be a lot more like that. If there is anything that we can do, do not hestitate to let us know and again our love and sympathy to all. Time heals the pain but we never forget the ones we love. God bless you!
