Madelline Nixon Obituary

NIXON, Madelline "Mary," 88, of Midlothian, died February 17, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. Nixon; and her son, Edward R. Nixon. Survivors include two daughters, Valerie L. Nixon and Nancie N. Silva; her son-in-law, Marcos Silva; and three grandchildren, Ryan E. Silva and his wife, Anna-Laura, Bethany L. Silva and Lindsey M. Silva. Mrs. Nixon lived with her family in Yonkers, N.Y., for 35 years. While still in New York, she was a member of the Greenville Community Reform Church in Scarsdale, N.Y., for 23 years. She worked as a secretary for most of her life, but was also a gifted artist. Her family was the most important thing in her life. Her remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.

Im really sad to see such a wonderful women pass away but so greatfull for everything i have experienced with you and learned. You were a great women and you will forever live on through my prayers and thoughts.

Nancie, Marcos and Family,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Mrs. Nixon's passing. She has been as much a part of our family's life as you all -- she was always very kind to us and greeted us warmly.
She will genuinely be missed.
