Kenneth Nixon

Kenneth N. Nixon, 88, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis, IN. He was a resident of Whiteland, IN. He was born on July 10, 1937 in rural Pike County, IN to Otley and Perna (Rainey) Nixon. He married Beverly Jeanne Kichler on June 23, 1984. She preceded him in passing. Survivors include his step-children, Sharon Cruse (Jack); Roi Kichler; Jennifer Perkins (Aaron); grandchildren Kari Hunley (Scott), Bryson Cruse, Joann Eldridge (Devin), Whitney James (Chaney); great grandchildren Brennan, Collin, Austin McIntosh, Abbie Hardy, Asher Sharpe, Onyx James; sisters Pauline Hatfield; Emma Bender; and loving companion Ruby Jewel Whitt. He was preceded in passing by his parents; wife; step-son Stanley Kichler; brothers Allison Nixon, Alan Merle Nixon, Gene Nixon, Charles Nixon, James Nixon; and sister Luvada Suagee. Kenny was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was farmer in Johnson County, IN. and retired from the Johnson County Sheriff's Dept in 2003. Kenny was a member of the Union Village Masonic Lodge #545 and the Murat Shriners Hospital. He was an avid hunter and a talented mechanic. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street (U.S. 31) in Franklin. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood where military honors will be conducted.
