ROMANDETTI, Mary Elizabeth, 86, departed this life February 15, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Carneal and Dorothy Barker Carneal; sisters, Florence Hohmann and Minne Ealey; and brothers, Burton, Floyd and Chasteen Carneal. She is survived by her brother, Jesse Lee Carneal; sisters, Delia Kidd and Dorothy May Linkous; sister-in-law, Barbara Carneal; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was a kind and giving person who was devoted to her family. She was so devoted, that she raised her younger siblings. She was a longtime resident of Brooklyn, N.Y., where she worked at Wagner's Bakery for many years. She had moved to Virginia in 2007. Many people loved Mary, and all will miss her. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, and 10 to 12 noon Saturday at Blileys - Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the funeral service will begin at 12 noon Saturday. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
