Charles Wells Obituary

WELLS, Charles Leonard, Sr., 61, of Richmond, Va. went to be with the Lord Thursday February 19, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carolyn A. Wells; sons, Charles "Chuck" Wells Jr. and his wife, Heather, and Brian Wells, and his wife, Crystal; brothers, Billy Wells Jr., Gary Wells and John Wells; five granddaughters; and one grandson. Mr. Wells was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was partners with his brothers in Wells, Inc. a heavy equipment maintenance operation. He was also a Deacon and Sunday school teacher at Heritage Baptist Church on Cogbill road. Family will receive friends Monday February 23, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Heritage Baptist Church. A funeral service will be conducted at the church at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment will be private.

Charles was my paw paw and i miss him so much, however i know that he is in a better place. Thank you to everyone who signed the guest book it means alot to me to know how many people also loved my paw paw

Mr. Wells was introduced to us by my brother Don Mays. Don said he was the best Sunday School teacher he had ever known. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. GOD BLESS

To the family, I was one of the nurses who took care of Mr. Wells, I can't express how sad and shocked I was to hear of his passing. His circumstances were very unfortunate. My thought and prayers are with you all during your time of loss.
