EDENS, Pauline "Polly" Rogers, 88, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 27, 2009. She was the widow of Rev. John Davis Edens. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, David L. and Gloria Edens, S. Paul and Jan Edens; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Polly retired from Chesterfield County Schools as an elementary teacher after 22 years of service. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10). A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Branch's Baptist Church Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. in the Simms Center at Lakewood Manor, 1900 Lauderdale Drive. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Branch's Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3400 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, Va. 23234.

With sympathy to Polly's family -
She was my mother's (Lucille Nelson) Sunday School teacher for many years. My mother thought a lot of her and talked about her often. Polly visited Mom after they both moved to Lakewood Manor.
