Linda,
I was sorry that I was not in town when Bookie passed away. He was always such a gentle person. I remember when you and Bookie got married. It was the first wedding I attended as a child. He was a dear cousin and I know everyone that loved him will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Bookie's death will leave a real void in the lives of his family and friends, but we are all blessed to have known him and his family. God Bless you all.

Linda & Family,
Dad cherished his friendship with Bookie, and I was always struck at how gentle of a spirit he had. We loved the fishing tales when they got back from Wachapreague, but most of all how good of a friend he was to Dad. Our thoughts are prayers are with you during this most difficult time.
Love, Carolyn & Charlotte

A great father, a loving husband, a mentor to everyone in his extended family. A true joy to be around. Everyone that ever met him loved him. His gentle nature will be remembered by me the most. I can only hope to be half the person he was. His niece,

Linda, Doug, Julie and family,
The present void of Bookie in our lives will be filled with fond memories of Bookie and his impact on all of us. He was a gentleman and one of my few remaining heroes of the Greatest Generation. The stories of life on the minesweeper during WWII and the Wachapreague flounder in the early years, told each year while camping and fishing, made those trips so special. My prayers are with you.
