Mrs. Parker taught two of my children first grade at Washington Henry. They both loved being in her class. Her love for our Lord and for the children He sent her was evident in everything she did. She was such an encouragement to me as a young mom. May the Lord give you grace and peace in these days ahead.

Elvatrice,
I am so sorry to hear that your mother has passed. Although I never met her, from all of your qualities and accomplishments and from all the love her former students are expressing, I know this must be very hard for you.

Be brave and know that you are loved.

Sincerely,
Robin Jones

Even though I didn't get to visit with Mrs. Parker while she was sick nor did I get a chance to say good-bye I'll always cherish the good times we had in years gone by. Talking on the phone until we both nodded off or her many visits. Mrs. Parker wasn't much on driving but, even when I moved to Eastern Henrico she made it a point to visit because as she would say "we are sisters and we have to stay in touch." My condolences go out to the entire family. May God bless each one of you in a special way.

I had the good fortune to work with Mrs. Parker at Washington Henry. Her classroom always bustled with activity-the children were always busy and happy and she worked her magic to teach those little first graders to read and to LOVE reading! Her energy, enthusiasm, and love for her students were evident everyday. My sincere condolences go out to the family.

To the family of Mrs.Parker. You have our deepest sympathy. I looked forwarded to coming to work in the evening time because I new she would be there working late and during whatever it took to do her job. Always smiling and being friendly. She would cheer me up whenever I was down. She will truly be missed.
