SHELTON, Ms. Lillian G. "Judy" On Monday, March 2, 2009 at Chippenham Medical Center, the Lord sent one of his angels by and called to eternal rest our beloved Lillian Shelton "Judy." She was formerly of Gum Spring, Va., before residing in Richmond, Va. She is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Bessie S. Poindexter; one adopted aunt, Dora Miles; her devoted cousins, Emma Cook, Anna Shelton, Edgar Shelton and Leonard Shelton, all of Richmond, Va., Edward Shelton of Mineral, Va. and Randolph Shelton, Sandston, Va.; one goddaughter, Constance Shelton; and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St. Remains will lie in state Saturday, 12 noon, at Cedar Street Baptist Church of God, 2301 Cedar St., where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Rev. Dr. Anthony M. Chandler, pastor, officiating. Dr. Benjamin W. Robertson Sr., eulogist. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens, Hanover County, Va.
