Danny D. Jones

JONES, Danny D., 52, of Chester, Virginia, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2009. He was born in Shenandoah, Va., and was preceded in death by his father, David Jones Sr. He was employed by Correctional Enterprise for 23 years and was most recently a warehouse superintendent. Mr. Jones is survived by his sons, Daniel A. Jones and Samuel D. Jones, both of Chester; mother, Joan Shifflett and her husband, L. Ray, of Elkton, Virginia; sisters, Joni Kimrey of Kernersville, North Carolina, Terry Merica and Becky Jones, both of Elkton; brothers, David Jones Jr. of Bethesda, Maryland, and Dale Jones of Elkton; and fiancee, Amy Holschuh of Chester. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2009, at 2 p.m. in Field's United Methodist Church, 412 3rd Street, Shenandoah, Virginia 22849. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions may be made to Field's United Methodist Church, 501 Senior Ave., Shenandoah, Va. 22849.
