Papa Linnie,

How can we let you move on to then next to your next journey. How can we let you TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT?

You were such a strong and caring man, one that I have known and loved since 1999. I met you at a Turkey Shoot in Highland Springs/Varina. You and I both know how that night went…. One for the memory book.

You allowed me to cry on the phone with you in January and again in April 2002, I thought my heart was breaking and you gave me strength when I was weak. You told me that things would be ok and sang me the theme to Mary Poppins which would always make me laugh and that was your goal! You told me that you would never leave me and you didn’t until this week.

You were there in my heart when I walked down the isle to marry the love of my life, which you loved dearly as well. You always told me, “Kimberly you have yourself a GOOD one, do not let him go!!!!”

When we called you the night of October 25, several years ago to tell you about the baby at 10pm you could not have been more excited. I was drugged pretty heavily but I do remember you saying CONGRATS girl, I love you and you done good! When we brought her to meet you your face light up like a Christmas tree and you gave her the name “Posqually”, only a name that was to be used between you and her. That little girl loves you!!!!!

Then we called you on May 5th of last year to tell you about your second little girl again you could not have been more excited! You gave her the name “Little Bit” and boy does that name fit that child! AND don’t you worry we will tell her all about you.

We must have talked on the phone two times a week if not more. We would always talk about Miss Tuffy, Tommy, Chad, Life, racing in Saluda, the race shop/boys, so many other things and always your little girls “Posqualy” and “Little Bit.” You always knew the right things to say to cheer me up. You always knew when I was trying to hide something and got me to give it up to you. Wish I could have made you do the same!!!!

I want you to know that I love you from the bottom of my heart and it is NOT the end it is only the beginning for you. I will see you again and I will rejoice knowing I can again share moments of my life with you. I know you will be watching from heaven. I know you will be listening to me and I expect you to give me signs you are around!!!

I send all my love to you along with Michael, Posqually and Little Bit!

Later…
