Lucy Forbush Haynie

HAYNIE, Lucy Forbush, 94, of Reedville, Va., passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2009. She was born in Hacks Neck, Va., to Melvin and Sadie Forbush. Lucy was a lifelong member of Fairfields United Methodist Church until 1992, when she joined Afton United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bailey R. Haynie; her parents; and two brothers, Howard and Leslie Forbush. She is survived by a daughter, Ruth H. Payne and husband, Gordon, of Fredericksburg, Va.; one son, James B. Haynie and wife, Debbie, of Richmond, Va.; five grandsons and 11 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Faulkner Family Funeral Home & Crematory, Burgess, Va., on Friday, August 14, 2009 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, August 15, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairfields United Methodist Church Cemetery, Burgess, Va.
