NASH, Garnette Elliott, 80, of Kenbridge, Va., widow of James Dennis Nash, died August 12, 2009. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Denise Nash, and by her eight brothers and sisters. She was a devoted member of Oakland Christian Church and a retired cashier for Bill's Supermarket and later Farmer's Foods, having worked for over 30 years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Ken Walden of Blackstone; her son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Marsha Nash of South Hill; and three granddaughters, Elliott Walden, Katherine Walden and Macie Nash. The family will receive friends Friday (tonight) from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge, Va. and at all other times at the home of Jamie and Marsha Nash, 4525 Brickland Road, South Hill, Va. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Kenbridge Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to Kenston Forest School in Blackstone or First Christian School in South Hill.
