THOMPSON, Laurie Moore, 89, of Dundas, Va., widow of Robert Norman Thompson Jr., died August 14, 2009. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, R. Bruce Thompson and Walter F. and Bernice Thompson; two grandsons, Walter F. (Frankie) Thompson Jr. and Thomas A. Thompson; and one brother, Maxie F. Moore, all of Dundas. She was a devoted member of Perseverance Christian Church. The family will receive friends Saturday (tonight) from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge, where funeral services will be held Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment in the Perseverance Christian Church Cemetery, Dundas. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the Kenbridge Fire Department, P.O. Box 556, Kenbridge, Va. 23944; or to the Kenbridge Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 328, Kenbridge, Va. 23944.
