George Mason Obituary

MASON, George Wade Jr., 78, of Henrico, died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the McGuire Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Richmond. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Rosina A. Mason; two sisters, Dorothy Henley and Susie Davis; three brothers, Clyde S. West, Thomas West and Allie West; and many nieces and nephews. George served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Disabled American Veterans and the Paralysis Society of America. He also belonged to the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Shriners of North America and Westhampton Lodge #302 in Richmond. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Bliley's-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 18. Interment Woodland Cemetery in Ashland. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
