Paul Thurston Obituary

THURSTON, Paul Edward, 52, died August 13, 2009. Born July 6, 1957, Paul was a life long resident of Henrico County. Paul retired as an over the road trucker after a heart transplant in 1991. Paul's parents, Roy and Olga Stepanick Thurston predeceased him. Survivors include aunts and cousins, life long neighbors and friends. Paul's dogs, Molly and Buddy, will miss him greatly. Special thanks are extended to the doctors and nurses at Henrico Doctors Hospital (Forest); especially Martin Starkman, M.D. and staff and James "Tommy" Thompson, M.D., and staff for their care and friendship. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave. at 10 a.m. Arrangements by Bliley's-Staples Mill.

We will miss Paul's friendly face just dropping in our office because he was in the area. He was a good person and will be missed.

I knew Paul for about 40 years he was a good friend and always looked after my family. His dry sense of humor will be missed by many. May he rest in peace.

Paul was a wonderful neighbor and friend to us. Always looking out for
our best interests. Paul was a very
brave man to go through what he did with his heart transplant followed by
dialysis. He will be missed by us.
