Beth, may God grant you peace and comfort you during this most difficult time. Mrs. Young, "C.T" as she would sign my cards will always be a part of my life. The impact she made on my life is everlasting and not a day goes by that I don't remember something encouraging she said. I love you and if there is anything I can do please let me know.

Beth,
Your mother embraced me from the moment I met her, just because I was your friend. You know that meant so much to me! Please know the Shabazz family is thinking about you and Alex during this time of grieving.

Beth and Alex,
I know how much you both loved your mother and grandmother treasure her in your memories. Remember the love that each of you have shared and may your heart be comforted through this time of loss. Be sure and know that God will give you the strength you will need to endure for He loves you both. My family and I shall always keep you in our prayers.

Catherine Young, as a young boy in school you showed me kindness and a gentle touch, while administering tough love. Your lessons I continue to use today, my family and I will certainly miss you. I am certain you are resting in peace and will hurt no more.

To Beth and the family of Catherine
I will always remember Catherine Young. She was my mentor at Mosby School, and I was a young teacher fresh out of Virginia Union University in 1964. Cat was very resourceful and creative. I know she is resting now with our Lord and at peace. My prayers are with you.

Beth
I am very much aware of the feelings you are having right now, but always remember that God has you in the palm of HIS hand and that He loves you very much. I know the memories of your mom will never replace her presence. My prayers are constantly with you and I am here if you need me.
